Toys For Tots: Kia Accelerate the Good Choice for 2023

Kia America is launching a “Accelerate the Good” initiative where they raised 3.779 million for non-profits nationwide with causes such as treating and defeating child cancer, providing shelter for unhoused youth, disaster relief, and so much more. “Helping those in need is a core tenant of the Kia brand and we are proud to partner with our retailers to positively impact communities across the U.S.,” said Sean Yoon, president and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America.

What is Toys For Tots?

The mission statement of the Marine Toys For Tots Program is to collect unopened and unwrapped toys and distribute them to less fortunate children. This not only will brighten the days of children who are suffering but also provide some joy and hope to those who are economically disadvantaged. The Marine Toys For Tots Program’s goal is to play an active role in the development of children and to positively impact communities in the future.

How Does Toys For Tots Work?

In essence, the foundation operates by obtaining and delivering toys to local Toys for Tots coordinators. The organization includes a combination of locally donated toys, toys purchased by the foundation, and those donated by corporations. This requires support from nearly 800 local coordinators and their support groups. They also run an annual public information and education campaign.
